Some offices have created a custom procedure code that they post as a type of documentation code to the Ledger (for example, when making a Patient Phone Call or documenting a Broken Appointment). Posting such a code automatically updates the Last Visit Date in the Family File.
In some areas of Dentrix, such as the Practice Advisor Report, a patient is determined to be active if they fit within a certain Last Visit Date time span. If that patient is already outside of 18 month window, they are considered “active” again according to the Last Visit Date. |
